Take the "Hard" out of Vibration
Say goodbye to costly breakdowns with vibration testing and analytical tools that maximize the reliability and productivity of your machinery.
Machine Condition Monitoring
Large machines, such as industrial pumps, fans, or gear boxes, need to be maintained regularly. MTS uses our VBox series of vibration analyzers to collect dynamic data and analyze the health status of the machine.
Testing and Analysis
MTS offers on-site testing and analysis, remote analysis, and independent testing, depending on your needs and current in-house capabilities.

Operating machinery naturally results in wear and tear, shifting, or deformation of the internal parts. Generally, these changes take place over extended periods of time which can make detecting them very difficult. If left unchecked, the components will continue to degrade, shift, and deform until they cause a failure in the equipment they are driving. When this happens, it can cost the business that relies on the equipment thousands, even millions of dollars in repairs and lost production.
Ideally, to prevent these catastrophic failures, you would detect and address issues before they became detrimental to the equipment. In the past that was difficult to do, but now with Maintenance Technology Systems that ideal situation has become reality.
At Maintenance Technology Systems (MTS), we partner with our clients to increase uptime and profits through vibration-based machine condition monitoring. Vibration-based machine condition monitoring detects changes in the vibrational signature of equipment and uses that information to determine if maintenance is needed. It is one of the most accurate methods of detecting issues within machinery.
To help business take full advantage of this technology, we offer on-site and remote vibration testing and analysis. For business that want to perform their own testing, we offer hardware and software that is accurate, cost effective, and intuitive. We also provide services such as precision in place machine balancing and precision laser machine shaft alignment to keep your equipment in peak condition. With Maintenance Technology Systems, you can say goodbye to unforeseen breakdowns and say hello to increased productivity and machine longevity.
How It Works
Detrimental changes to the machine components are accompanied by changes in the vibrational behavior of the equipment. These vibrational changes can be detected and used to pinpoint issues. This allows you to address issues before they cause failures and keep your machinery running with little to no downtime.
Depending upon the system, transducers (vibration sensors) are fixed either permanently or temporarily to your equipment. These transducers pick up and store information about vibrations. This information is then transferred back to the data collection device (the included industrial tablet or other device) by means of a wireless or wired connection. From there, it can be remotely accessed by our computers or loaded onto an in-house computer running our MTS XPlorer software.
This software takes all the data collected from the transducers, analyzes the data, and returns the information in an easy to read, customizable report. Viewing this report allows you to gain instant insight into the health of your equipment and to determine which equipment or components need maintenance.

What you can expect with MTS
Expertise and Customer Service – We Pride ourselves with excellent customer service. We answer when you call. We bring to the table almost 60 years of “in the field” experience in machine health monitoring.
Increased savings and profits – Machine Health Monitoring allows you to spot and correct emerging issues before they impact machine reliability. This saves money, from unplanned downtime, and money spent on repairs and replacements. Detecting issues early on also allows maintenance to be scheduled and planned rather than unscheduled and unplanned. Unplanned repairs often cost 2-3 times more than planned maintenance.
More time to do what you want – Determining the health of your machinery can be a time-consuming task. MTS machine condition monitoring solutions remove the hassle factor and reduce the man-hours required to complete this process.
Equipment Reliability – We all want the equipment we use to be reliable. Unfortunately, excessive vibration (often resulting from undetected machine health issues) reduces reliability of equipment. With MTS machine health monitoring, small changes in the vibrations of a machine can be detected. This allows you to monitor the condition, then correct issues before they escalate and cause lost production and unplanned downtime.
